My son is interested in joining ther Navy but has three juvenile misdeamenors. 2 when he was 15 and one when he was 17. He is now 19 and wants to join the navy. I never had the records expunged because I didn’t think it would make a difference in a government back ground check. How should I proceed? SHould I request the records be expunged? WIll they still have access to the records? Thank you to anyone who can offer advice.

My current employer has a contract coming up to do training on military bases for non-security related issues and we must submit to a back ground check. I would like to know what type of back ground check civilians must submit to in order to gain access for a limited time to have access to limited areas of the base (the contract is for less than a week)

I am currently waiting on my back ground check to go through. I’ve been assured by my recruiter that I will be accepted but it is taking a long time. They keep calling back asking for more information regarding my background. Example: minor details regarding certain incidents. They already have the charges that were filled against me, the outcome etc. If it turns out some detail isnt to thier liking will they just disqualify me?
