I was told when i finished my probation that It would be taken of my record. It has not shown up on any of my employers previous background checks and I am not going into the teaching program in college. Okay, first time landlord here and I am nervous. I am in Massachusetts. Do I do a back ground check to look for prior evictions? I already did a credit check, which basically she had 12 collections and not really any credit. Do I ask for a copy of her pay stub to prove income? Do I ask for proof of child support payments? What happens if she does not pay? I heard it can take up to a year in Mass to evict someone and longer with kids. She has a 16 year old. If that happened, I would go bankrupt. What can I do to protect myself?
She has been with the company for 2 1/2 years. Do I ask for pay stubs on that?
